Keep Going…

Just because it’s not the right time doesn’t mean you don’t and can’t plan for it.

Just because it’s not the right time to buy a home doesn’t mean you don’t save for it.

Just because it’s not the right time to get married doesn’t mean you sleep around or become cynical about love.

Just because it’s not time to open your business doesn’t mean you stop drafting your business plan.

 

Just because it’s not here yet doesn’t mean you stop praying for it.

We’ll never know the time or the hour but when God’s hand strikes TIME!, you’ll want to be ready.

The time to prepare is now. Don’t allow the wait to become a weight that slows you down. Keep preparing, keep praying, keep fasting, keep going.

Scripture: “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should…” (1 Corinthians 9:24).

    Part of our journey entails planning, we ought to plan so God can direct our steps. When the Isralites were going into battle God prepared them. They strategized on how to proceed and upon consulting the good Lord he gave them guidance on how to proceed. This also applies to us God assures us that he will not lead us or give us more than we can handle. Prayer is what keeps us in tuned and in check through his word on the mercies and grace of God. Personal experience 2 days ago, I allowed laziness to take effect and my routine morning devotion was not being done effectively due to excessive sleep. I felt I was spiritually slipping and those two days my thoughts were getting the best of me, feeling less hopeful and the need to push through. Why, because I was not focusing on studying the word and praying as I do. I knew I needed to seek strength from God for his renewed strength. This morning my initial devotion was from Ephesians 2 but for some reason which I know it was not a coincidence but the many ways God speaks to us; I turns to 3 instead thinking that was where my devotion was from. Upon reading I obtained a renewed spirit in FAITH. Ephesians 3 had a section on The prayer of the Ephesians. I will share this” 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” The verses 20-21 was a great reminder of how God’s mercies are immeasurable, he always knows the needs of his children and because he knows he is always ready to come to our rescue. He knew I needed to be renewed in my faith and spirit and he gave the scripture that would do so. Beloved let’s continue in prayer and believing in FAITH, for our God is a faithful God, let’s keep pushing and going.Thank you for such an affirmation post Erika!       And thank you Jesus for always giving you the right scripture to share! I totally related to your experience. Every time I over sleep I feel like I’m sleeping on God’s word. I can’t stand that feeling! It’s amazing how much our spirits miss the word when we get out of sync! Ya know!
