The Mindset of The Chosen

God could have chosen anyone in the world for the life that you have but He chose you.  Good or bad, ups or downs, you’ve got to decide to make the life you have work for you.  Making your life work for you begins with your mindset.  It begins with waking up each day and owning the day.  It begins with deciding to be purposeful in decision-making and in your actions.

The mindset of the chosen says things like:

  • “I don’t have to impress others to gain approval or favor.”
  • “I don’t have to do what everyone else is doing in order to enjoy life”
  • “I don’t have lower my standards or morals to gain friends or business”

Do you know who you are?  Do you know that you have been chosen?

John 15:16 says “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

God made a purposeful decision to choose you.  Know who you are.  Know that you have been chosen, and life your life well.

Each person’s purpose for which he or she is chosen is different from the others purpose. The goal we all have in common is God who calls upon many as part of his chosen. He tells us in Colossians 3: 12 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ” This command is one he expects and desires for all the chosen to possess however the gifts and our purposes, we possess them individually. Together as we uncover who we are and what his call is for us individually, we can understand that with the individual talents together build his kingdom. The main approval ought to seek and need is his stamp of approval and not that of man!!!

This is a beautiful post. I think so often we forget that we were chosen for a purpose. The struggles of life often distract us. I am thankful for your redirection so that everyone who reads this may achieve what God has called them to do.
