Seasons of Stretching

A few weeks ago, I came across a quote on Facebook that read “If you feel like you’re being stretched today, remember that stretching is good for you! When you stretch, you increase your capacity to receive. God wants to stretch you so He can increase you!” -Pastor Victoria Osteen.

This quote didn’t mean much to me at the time but it sure did mean a lot to me today.

When others ask for your best it’s because they know your best is within you.  When someone challenges you to be a greater version of yourself it can feel overwhelming but like diamonds, the pressure is only there to make you shine.

About To Shine

Rather than allowing the pressure of the challenge cause you to shrink back, simply remain calm and be patient while God refines you.  The pressure and stretching that you experience today is preparing you for a new season of God’s goodness and favor.  Spring forward throughout the stretch and shine!

“You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” (James 1:3-4)

Thank you friend for encouraging us all to be stretched daily. We are meant for growth. Stagnation has no place on the kingdom.

The journey of life comes with seasons. When winter comes we know we have to adjust ourselves and change our wardrobes to embrace the season, without any idea the severity or intensity the change might bring. Yet we manage and try to adopt. This also applies to our personal seasons in life and as you pointed out, most of the seasons in our personal lives require us to stretch. Ecclesiastes 3: 1″To everything there is a season,A time for every purpose under heaven”. Flexibility helps us embrace the changes in our lives though stretching is not always easy, we come to know that through it all God is on our side. Stretching allows us to put our faith in The Lord knowing that he is the only one that can give us strength!!!
