A few weeks ago, I came across a quote on Facebook that read “If you feel like you’re being stretched today, remember that stretching is good for you! When you stretch, you increase your capacity to receive. God wants to stretch you so He can increase you!” -Pastor Victoria Osteen.
This quote didn’t mean much to me at the time but it sure did mean a lot to me today.
When others ask for your best it’s because they know your best is within you. When someone challenges you to be a greater version of yourself it can feel overwhelming but like diamonds, the pressure is only there to make you shine.
Rather than allowing the pressure of the challenge cause you to shrink back, simply remain calm and be patient while God refines you. The pressure and stretching that you experience today is preparing you for a new season of God’s goodness and favor. Spring forward throughout the stretch and shine!
“You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” (James 1:3-4)
