When I reflect on my life I recall many times when situations looked impossible and challenges seemed insurmountable.  Throughout each of these times God was constant and unchanging.  His word stood strong.  His love never failed and He remained by my side.  Even during the darkest hours God continued to be a light that brought comfort, healing and peace from the inside out.

Today, I don’t know what you challenges you may be facing but I do know that God’s love will never fail.  Just when you think things can’t get any worse God will turn that situation around in a way that’s unimaginable.  He will cause the thing that hurts most to bring you the most joy.  I know this because I’ve experienced it in my own life and I’ve seen it happen in the lives of my friends and family.

When life seems to be unpredictable, unstable and chaotic, I encourage you to reach out to God and allow Him to anchor you.  He is constant through trial and change, and His love will never fail you.

Last Sunday, I was given an opportunity to share how God’s love transformed a tumultuous time into one of the best seasons of my life.  My experience was in the area of heartbreak but your experience may be in another area.  Regardless of your challenge or circumstance God can cause healing, restoration, peace, joy and blessing to emerge from that situation.  No matter how rough things get, keep your eyes and heart focused on Jesus.  He’s the one person in the world whose promises cannot fail.

My brief story of God’s unfailing love in my life can be seen here: http://www.lakewoodchurch.com/Pages/Watch-Online.aspx

To view it, please fast forward to the 25:45 minute mark on the video entitled “Easy Does It.” It’s about 1.5 minutes in length.  Be encouraged to keep your hope in Jesus.  His love will never fail.

“…For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.'[a]” (Hebrews 13:5)

Happy Friday!

Wow Erika, you spoke really well on stage , very poised and at peace. I’m sure you had the nervous feeling but God worked through you in a powerful way. You have every reason to be feeling like a victor and knowing that hard lesson helped you in a way you’d could not have anticipated.

Thanks so much Challen! I really appreciate it. I was so nervous but right before I went on stage I met someone who said “just remember when you go up there God will be there with you. Be yourself and He’ll speak through you.” Once he said that, I felt so calm and at ease. I never imagined that God would provide an opportunity for me to share my story but I sure am thankful for it. It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget! God turned one of the darkest moments into one of the best moments of my life. =)

Your testimony really conveys having hope in difficult times. Romans 5: 3 “Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” You stood strong and have glorified God on how he used a difficult situation to transform you to shine and strengthened your relationship with The Lord. Kudos for putting the enemy of broken heartedness to SHAME. Psalm 34:5″Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
