Who Do You Work For?

Who Do You Work For?

“And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful!”

In all that you do remember that you work for God and not for others.  We can alleviate the stress and burden of pleasing others by living to please God.  With friends and family, there will always be times when our efforts do not meet their expectations.  During these times, it is important not to allow ourselves to feel burdened or overwhelmed.  The scripture (Psalm 90:17) above states that God will make your efforts successful.  When you work to make your efforts pleasing to God, He will make sure they are recognized and he will make them successful.  Even in times when you are unable to meet the expectations of others, you will receive approval from God by doing your best.

As we begin a new week, try to keep this principle in mind in all that you do.   When you pull up to work, arrive with the mindset that you are working for God.  Arrive on time, arrive with a pleasant attitude, do your best, ask God to bless your work, and have confidence in yourself and in your work.  When you do things like this, God promises to show you his approval and to make your efforts successful.

Have a wonderful week!

Just like the cars we drive, one may drive a Toyota, Honda, BMW, Acura yet we all get to our perspective locations. God wants us all to work for him in love and with love. In all we do the validator is God. His approval is what we need to strive for. He knows our strengths as well as our weaknesses. When all we do we know we do for him, and if man disapproves, we still need to continue steadfastly in the work of The Lord to get to the destination. We all take the route through various means hence we all have different gifts and talents. Paul, Moses, David, Daniel, Peter etc all loved The Lord and had different messages as well as resources, doing their work for The Lord and he approved all of them and provided them with the validation and strength needed. Romans 8: 29 “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn[n] among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory” Whatever we do, the key question we ought to ask ourselves is how will this please God. If it pleases God we are in good standing!!!

Amen! If it’s not pleasing to God it doesn’t really matter who’s pleased on the outside. Living to please God on the outside and the inside allows us to experience his goodness on the outside and the inside.
