God’s Explosive Power

God’s Explosive Power

This morning I was in a hurry to get out the door and to the office.  My seasonal allergies flared up last night so I wanted to make a cup of hot tea to drink at the office.  I usually boil my water in a tea kettle but since I was in a hurry, I decided to heat the water in the microwave.  I poured some water into a glass mug and allowed it to heat.  Once the water was hot, I transferred the heated water into my thermal mug, tossed a tea bag in the water and I was ready to go.  “Ohhhh wait, I should take one of those Emergen-C packets too before I go.”  I remembered that I had a few of those packets in my cupboard so I decided to take a few sips of it before heading out.  I poured some cool water into the mug, emptied the packet and begin to stir.  I picked up the glass mug to drink the mixture and POW! The glass mug exploded in my hand!  It literally cracked in half while in my hand and landed on the counter in front of me.

I was caught off guard for a moment so I just stood there in amazement thinking “what in the world just happened?”  It was like a science experiment gone wrong and when I glanced down, I noticed that a small part of my hand was bleeding.

As I was driving to work, I began to think about the explosion and it made me think about God.  Sometimes we underestimate our prayers, but just like the packet of Emergen-C that caused the mug to explode, one prayer can cause us to experience explosive blessings from God.

We never know the power of our prayers but we do know that God is the most powerful man in the world, so why not take a few moments to declare his name each day.  When we do that, there’s no telling what we’ll experience.  There’s no telling what kind of power will be released over our prayers and into our lives.  Psalm 96:2 says “Sing to the Lord…Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.”   Proclaim that he saves your finances from debt. Proclaim that he saves your family from terror.  Proclaim that he saves your life from harm.  Proclaim that he saves your business from collapsing. Proclaim that he saves your creativity from becoming obsolete.  Proclaim that he saves your heart from heartache and pain.  Wherever there is a need, proclaim that God is here and that he saves.

When you wake up each day proclaiming the Word of God, it’s impossible not to see his explosive blessings in your life.  In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul instructed young Timothy to stir up the gift that God gave to him.  Prayer is a gift is a gift from God to you.  It’s your key to unlocking his explosive blessings in your life.  Like that small packet of contents (Emergen-C), when you pray, you stir up God’s hand of favor and an explosion of blessings occurs.

Use your gift of prayer today.  Stir it up, speak God’s word over your life and watch how God releases his explosive blessings in your life.

Be encouraged to pray today and everyday.

Love,

~ETE

Even with our relationship with friends, through communication the relationship is able to thrive. Communication opens up the door to identify areas or issues that need to be addressed. The same goes with a relationships with a spouse, business partners and even clients”building rapport”. The more we open up and communicate the more we strengthen the relationship. God expects us to do the same with him. Prayer is our way of communicating with God. It keeps us in check and strengthens us. The more we do it the better we are able to comprehend life and see a way out even when we fell or think in our minds there in no way out. When we open up to God in prayer and communicate with him, we are able to build a stronger relationship with him.Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

This is a wonderful analogy and I completely agree with you. Communication is a key that unlocks continuous blessings in our lives. The more we talk, the more we receive from God both naturally and supernaturally.
