Speak The Blessing, See The Blessing

Today’s post came to mind after an interesting day in Court.  I handled my first hearing in Family Court and the judge was a bit harsh.  At one point, she cut me off and proceeded to raise her voice because she felt as though I was taking too long to make my point.  When this happened, my first reaction was to take offense however God quickly reminded me that He was in control so I remained calm. I had already prayed over the day so there was nothing for me to do but simply stand in God’s confidence (Godfidence).

Shortly after losing her temper, the judge found herself flustered and at a loss for words.  She lowered her voice, asked if I had anything else to add and kindly granted my motion.  Moments after I exited the courthouse, the following declaration came to mind.  As I spoke these words over my life, I was reminded of the power of our God, our speech and God’s Word.

In sharing them, I hope that you too are reminded of just how favored you are…simply because you belong to God.

“The same God that goes before me, goes behind me. His favor surrounds me like a shield and it thwarts the work of the enemy. When challenges are presented to me, I will face them in confidence knowing that God has already equipped me for victory.  I do not have to walk in fear of any decision or situation when God has already said that my future is in His hands.  The only thing that I need to do is trust God.

I do not need to trust fear when life becomes challenging.  I do not need to trust fear when I am uncertain of the unknown.  I do not ever, have to choose to fear in life because I have a God who says the plans for my life are good (Jer. 29:11).

Today, and everyday I will commit myself to trusting in God for every decision that I need to make–big or small.  I believe that 2014 is my season for exponential growth and development.

I will see God take me further faster because of the plan that He has for me.  I know that God has already provided an abundance of grace, favor, mercy and resources for me.  Everything that I declare shall come to pass in my life.   Things that have taken years to come to pass are going to happen this year.  God is pulling out every resource to bless me and the works of my hands.  Every seed that I sow shall produce a mighty harvest and shall increase my land.

I know that God has a blessing in store for me. It has my name on it and it is coming today!

In the name of Jesus, Amen!”

Our God is indeed the only one we can trust. The relationship we establish with him comes with no heartbreak. Our down moments and weakest situations he is always there though we don’t understand and can’t comprehend why things occur as they do because we are are mostly relying on our own plan. As you stated he has a plan for us and can and will restore our brokenness when we put our trust in him. In every situation we need to remember ” he’s got this” so he will lead us to the unseen. We need to break down the walls of fear,it hinders the blessings and plans of God when we hold on to them. God redeemed the Israelites and promised to take them to the fertile Land of Canaan but due to fear and doubt when some men were sent to explore the land which was part of God’s plan.Whiles they saw the land flowed with milk and honey, fear caused them to believe otherwise. Numbers 13:28 “But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there”. Those who took the shield of fear and believed the people there were powerful couldn’t possess the land, why because they did not trust who God is and his capabilities and they didn’t make it to the promised land. Let’s take the shield of trust and faith in God with this we can claim all the promises he has for us. You are always such a great inspiration through you words. They bring such great meaning to the scriptures I read thank you Erika!!!

Hey Roz! There you go again with the awesome bible stories that help magnify the power of God’s word! Thanks so much for this message. Like you said, “we do need to break down the walls of fear” because fear only hinders us and keeps us from God’s best. Moreover, fear keeps us away from God and closer to the enemy of lies. Faith over fear is a choice we must make daily but if we continue to declare His word, stand on His promises and spend time getting to know Him, we can win the fight of faith for the rest of our lives. God bless you sis! =)

Amen! I receive and will speak the blessing. Your words often bring me to emotion, I needed this affirmation today. After your post several days ago, I began saying aloud those titles and things I believe I am. We have to . keep his promise and blessings top of mind and speak along with believing them into existence. God Bless.

Like the Word says “we are better together; we can help each other succeed” (Ecc. 4:9). Keep saying those things out loud! And write them down too! Then, at the end of the year you’ll be able to look back and just say “wow God…you really did it!” He’s doing it girl!
