Get Into The Receiving Position in 2014

This is a photo of my notebook that I carry each day.

This is a photo of my notebook that I carry each day.

We all have big dreams for the year.  Hopefully, those dreams are so big that only God can cause them to come true.  If you’re a dreamer like me, you’re always praying about new ideas and you’re always asking for creativity.  However, sometimes we do so much praying that we forget to do a little expecting. We forget that God has heard our prayer all 50 times, and He has already begun to work on our behalf.  Those prayers have been spoken, and now it’s time to get in position to receive.

The receiving position is the place where you can catch all that God has to give.  It’s the place that requires you to do nothing but sit back and say “God, I thank you.”

If you have been praying for ideas and creativity, one great way to receive those things is to simply carry a notebook.  I’m sure you thought I was going to say something profound but nope! The act of receiving only requires you to be ready to receive.  It requires you to be in the right position with an open heart and an open hand.

In 2014, a notebook should become our best friend.  It should be the accessory we simply cannot do without.  Throughout the year, your notebook will become your receiving position each time God speaks to you and gives you an idea.

I don’t know about you but I’m expecting God to be spontaneous. I am expecting Him to do the unexpected each day He wakes me up.  If you have been praying for God to bless you, you should be expecting the same.  The best way to receive the unexpected is to be ready for it.  Begin placing a notebook next to your bed.  Keep another one in your gym bag or purse and one more at the office.  You can even keep it simple and maintain one that you can carry everywhere you go.  Whatever you do, invest in a notebook this year and call it your Book of Blessings.

At the end of the year, you will be amazed at the number of ideas God has given to you.  Even if some of those ideas don’t come to pass this year, they will already be written.  You will already have one seed in the ground for your next business, book or career.

2014 is not the year to sleep on God.  The bible says that God’s word is quick, effective and active (Hebrews 4:12).  That means the moment you speak one of His promises, it begins working for you and with you.

Be sure to add “purchase a notebook” to your to-do list for the weekend. It’s one of the BEST things you can do for yourself this weekend.  It’s one of the most inexpensive investments you can make into your dreams. This is how dreams come true–by staying ready.  Stay ready for the moment my friends!

God has something ENORMOUS in store for you!

Absolutely! A journal/notebook is a great idea. It’s not easy to remember the all ideas unless they can be jotted down!

Amen! I have learned to stop telling myself “I can remember that…I’ll write it down later” because either later never comes or I never remember! We have to stay ready!

To add to your great message, yesterday during one of my readings the author Mrs Vickie Kraff, which could be found on https://bible.org/seriespage/women-bible-3-widows-oil-when-bad-things-happen-good-people she talked about the importance of sharing with ones children of what God does in our lives. She emphasized that there are things that Sunday school teachings, friends and even the church can’t reveal to us or our children “future children” don’t have kids yet :-). She stated ” You are the major source of knowledge about God. It’s up to us to let them know that God is real for us, and he’s real for them”. God is so so God and he works in mysterious ways. I decided to journal about events and thoughts that run through my head about God’s revelations. After my this yesterday the insight I gained was that, as we continue to journey and grow in Christ, we should take notes of revelations in our lives ; these revelations can be used as prove to restore someone’s faith. Just like the biblical events in the New Testament were revealed and prophesied in the Old Testament. If we can keep a journal of our revelations they can be our testament that can be seen and used as testimonies to lift up others of what was revealed and how God brought it to light.I am so amazed that you posted this message. Erika God is working very closely with you!!!

Roz! What’s so amazing about your post is that about 2-3 weekends ago, I was looking for something when I came across a bunch of my old prayer journal and bible study journals. There must have been about 5-6 of them. I began to go through the pages. As I did this, this great sense of happiness and joy filled my heart as I realized the value of those notebooks. One day, my children and my grand-children will get to read what I wrote. They’ll get to read the promises I wrote back then and the prayers that I prayed for them. You say God is working closely with me but the same is true for you. I’m telling you, this Promise Fast is doing much more than either one of us imagined or expected.

The more we decrease, the more God will continue to increase inside of us. Imagine the wisdom & understanding we will receive by February!

Drop me a line!
