The Gift of Faithfulness–Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This year Christmas means faithfulness to me.  It has been an adventurous year. There have been many fun and exciting moments, and there have been challenging and disheartening moments.  But in all moments, God’s presence has always been there.

When I think about the level of trust God asks of us, it makes me think about Mary.  I imagine how she must have felt when she was told she would bear a son as a virgin.  I am sure she wrestled with thoughts of what others would say about her. “Who will believe my story?  Who will believe that the birth of my son is a gift from God?”  I am sure that thoughts of doubt and fear crossed her mind as she attempted to understand what was about to take place in her body.

So many of us have felt like Mary this year.  We’ve had experiences when the outcome was unknown and the journey was hard to navigate because we didn’t always know where God was leading us.  We had to make the decision to trust God as Mary did and believe that He would be faithful to our prayers and to His promises.  We had to trust God with the desires of our heart and believe that all would be well in the end.  Mary trusted her life in God’s hands. She trusted His promise and in return she experienced God’s faithfulness at a level that was above and beyond anything she could fathom.  She gave birth to the most wonderful, powerful, loving, and omnipotent man in the world.  Mary’s faith birthed the gift of faithfulness.

Today, among the many things that Jesus is to the world, He is faithful, and this year He has shown that His faithfulness is never-ending.  This year, Christmas means faithfulness to me.  We are so blessed to have a Savior who will always be exactly what we need at all times.

Merry Christmas everyone! I wish you a blessing of God’s faithfulness and love in every area of your life.

Love,

Erika 🙂

Wow great insight I have not thought of what Mary had to go through from the perspective you conveyed. Thank you for taking the time from friends and family during the holiday season to give us the word and your continuous dedication and faithfulness to the word is admirable. May the good lord continue to grant you wisdom and bless you abundantly. Merry Christmas!!!
