Tuesday Declaration: “My future is in God’s hands and He never drops the blessing.”

Yesterday, God placed these words on my heart to encourage a friend.  Shortly after I encouraged her, I felt the hope in my own heart begin to rise and I began to feel excited about the future.

Sometimes things move so fast in life that we either expect the same of God or we underestimate His ability to deliver.  We see friends getting married and engaged, receiving promotions, traveling the world, launching new businesses and celebrating other victories, and we begin to ask God “hello, when am I next?”

If we’re not asking about our turn, we’re sitting somewhere worried that it will never be our turn.  We are such extremists lol. It’s always either black or white in our relationship with God. It’s always this or that.  We forget that God is the creator of the heavens and the earth. Therefore, perhaps He’s able to operate in more than two ends of the spectrum.  Perhaps his blessings come in more than one color because He is the spectrum–after all, this is the same man who created rainbows. =)

Your future is in God’s hands and He never drops the blessing.  God is not limited to performing in polar opposites.  In fact, He often does His best work in that weird, uncertain and uncomfortable gray area because it’s the place that’s too cloudy for us to navigate on our own. 🙂 I know this because three months ago I felt confused as I navigated through the gray area of heartbreak.  I was unsure of how things were going to work out so I had to put my trust and faith in God’s hands.  I had to trust God with the goals that I set for myself at the beginning of the year. I had to trust that He would end 2013 with the joy & peace that I had been declaring all year long.

Three months later, I have more joy and peace than I could have ever imagined. The goals that I set at the beginning of the year have been met, and new blessings have begun to unfold. I share these things not to brag about myself but to boast about the faithfulness of God.

Friends, your future is truly in God’s hands and He will never drop the blessing.  No person and no event can ever stop what God has planned for you.  The moment you take a step of faith to believe that His love exceeds the circumstances that you see, is the moment you create an opportunity for Him to do something above and beyond anything you could ever imagine (Eph. 3:20).  God is so much greater than the polar extremes that we create.  God’s love runs so much wider and deeper than the limits we place on Him.

Before you place God in a box that’s either black or white try placing your trust in Him, and allow Him to become your guiding light.  When you do that, you will see God illuminate areas of your life that are broken, dark and hidden.  He will search out your heart and He will do a new thing. Unlike us, God is able to perform in any condition and in every circumstance. The same God who created generations from particles of dust is the same God who holds your future.

He has yet to be outperformed.  He has yet to be defeated.  He holds your future in His hands and He never drops the blessing.

Be encouraged to continue to believe.  God has a rainbow of blessings with your name written on them. Believe and declare that those blessings belong to you.

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

Well spoken Erika ;sometimes we are so focused on the big blessings, we turn to lose sight of the many blessings granted to us each day. As the year is coming to an end, we usually look back at the what could, should and if”s. It’s always good for us to reevaluate ourselves and recognize areas we can improve. Today’s message at church the preacher used Matt 16:13-20as a reference. The verse that caught my attention the most was when Jesus ask the disciples 15 “But what about you,” He asked; “Who do you say I am?” This question could be answered in various ways, why because our God is able to do what exceeds our thoughts and desires. If we strengthen our relationship with him, we can element doubt and worry less. As your message said today our future is in God hands. God is much more than we think , whiles we don’t always understand the ways of God, we need to continue in faith and believe. He does things according to his time and what will be of our best interest because he always has a plan for us!!!

Amen, this is so good Roz! Another helpful thing we can do is to accept that we won’t always understand what God does and how He does it. If we can learn to accept that, it makes the journey a little easier and it makes it a little easier for us to trust God 🙂

Such a great message my friend. Merry Christmas!!!

True, sometimes we won’t understand what God has for us.
